Iran denounces Trump\u2019s economic threat <\/h2>\n

Iran\u2019s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has rejected the economic threats made against his country, saying that such \u201cfailed policies\u201d will stir more hostility among Iranians and \u201cbring more failures.\u201d<\/p>\n

Araghchi\u2019s comments came a few hours after President Donald Trump<\/span> threatened \u201ccrushing economic measures\u201d against Iran. Trump promised \u201cEconomic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale,\u201d but provided few details.<\/p>\n

In a social media post, Araghchi maintained the threats aim to divert the attention of the U.S. public from domestic financial problems, adding that the U.S. \u201ceconomic terrorism threatens the global economy and the national sovereignty of countries around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Syria\u2019s top diplomat discusses Middle East in Pakistan<\/h2>\n

Syria\u2019s Foreign Minister Assad al-Shibani<\/span> has arrived in Islamabad for talks expected to focus on regional issues, Pakistan\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.<\/p>\n

The visit comes days after Israeli airstrikes targeted an air base<\/span> in northern Syria, causing damage but no casualties.<\/p>\n

Pakistani officials say the country\u2019s political and military leadership remains in contact with both Iran and United States over efforts to de-escalate tensions and push for the resumption of talks after a 60-day deadline under a June memorandum of understanding expired. Pakistani crew members killed in Houthi attack are repatriated<\/h2>\n

The bodies of two Pakistanis killed in last week\u2019s Houthi attack<\/span> on a Tanzanian-flagged commercial vessel<\/span> in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait have been repatriated to Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Six Pakistani sailors who were injured in the attack have also safely returned to the country, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said in a post on X.<\/p>\n
