He declined to disclose the price, saying only it would involve \u201ctens of billions of dollars\u201d in investment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a strong signal for our transatlantic and European partnership,\u201d Germany Chancellor Friedrich Merz said before thanking Carney. <\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>The German company<\/span> beat out <span>South Korea\u2019s Hanwha Ocean<\/span>.
