The nation has also reported around 40 fatalities because of drowning, as people sought cooling relief. <\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<!-- AP \"Read More\" embed (place mid-article) -->\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Those conditions are expected to last for several days, with temperatures as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius).<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/topmovingpross.com\/?p=1042\">The Strait of Hormuz\u2019s future is unsettled even as more ships venture through<\/a><\/p><p>\u201cWe are going to see the June temperature records not just broken, but completely annihilated,\u201d said Liz Bentley, chief executive at the Royal Meteorological Society and a professor of meteorology at the University of Reading.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>How is climate change influencing these phenomena?<\/h2><p><span>Climate change<\/span> is making the conditions for heat domes happen more often, experts say. And <span>more and more nations around the globe<\/span> are being impacted.<\/p><p>\u201cWe\u2019re warming the globe and that means we\u2019re shifting the range of temperatures that any given place experiences,\u201d Francis said. \u201cAnd as you shift that range of temperature, you\u2019re making the extreme temperatures much more likely.\u201d<\/p><p>Effectively, the world has turned up the thermostat temperature, Bentley said. <\/p><p>\u201cClimate change is definitely having an impact on the fact that they\u2019re more frequent, they\u2019re more intense, and they\u2019re more persistent as well,\u201d Bentley said of heat waves. \u201cThey hang around a lot longer than they used to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>How can people stay safe?<\/h2><div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<bsp-figure>\n<template>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-medium_large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A woman shields herself from the sun with a fan in Rennes, western France, Monday, June 22, 2026.
